So Sega puts up a contest about which characters will be in the upcoming Sonic game, codenamed "Project Needlemouse." Each day they countdown, taking characters off one by one.

Everyone freaks out! Because obviously Sega is up to their old tricks putting lots of characters in their games apparently.

The final post comes out, and Sonic is the only one on the list.

The entire Sonic fandom just got trolled.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.

So I'm gonna try and put in more writing and reviews and stuff in this journal. It's time for Raz's Best of/Favorites of 2009!

And it's only ten days late. )

That's my list everybody! I hope you had some joy reading it. XD And remember, accentuate the positive. Don't... and you become the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom.

After the thrills of Sonic #200, we come to issue #201 of Sonic the Hedgehog. This issue doesn't miss a beat and picks up right where its predecessor left off, introducing us whole hog to the new threat facing our characters, as well as introducing us to some new characters and some reintroductions of older ones. It has two stories, the main, "Change in Management", and the backup, "Devotion." I will be reviewing both stories separately.

As always, warning, as these reviews contain spoilers and are image intensive.

Main Story: Change in Management )

Back-Up Story: Devotion )

Issue Conclusion: A satisfying and solid issue written well in consideration of its target audience, but the backup story drags it down a bit. Final Final Grade: B

This issue is already nearly a month old, but it seemed a good idea to review it before the next issue that comes out. Before I get to the nitty gritty, however, let me share with you some perspective about my personal journey with Sonic the Hedgehog.

In the long ago year of 1993... )

Now to the nitty gritty.

The review itself - warning: spoilers and image intensive )
